In my explorations of the local beauty and its people, and what is happening on the island, I’ve stumbled upon an incredibly good and sustainable project called Beetroot Barter created by Wholesome Living and mymuybueno Deli, two locally owned business from Palma de Mallorca. The uniqueness of this project among other sustainable living projects leans on the fact that it is aimed to make the local community live better, not a big corporation, which normally takes place all around us.

For those who don’t know the yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar, it’s important to let you know that he was the founder of the style of yoga known as Iyengar Yoga. He was also considered one of the most significant yoga teachers in the world. Iyengar, a master that taught mostly in Pune, India, was an extraordinary teacher. He popularised yoga, first in India and then around the world. He died peacefully on the 20th August 2014 in Pune, India, aged 95. Iyengar’s yoga style can be described as correct alignment and attention to detail. It will always be the base for studying yoga all around the world
Last month, on the 30th of August, I woke up to the rather disturbing news that one of the greatest spiritual teachers of our time, Dr Wayne Dyer, passed away. That day I also bought 2 more of his books as I already missed him. Dr Dyer has been my spiritual teacher for many years and since I learnt about him and his message, I have always followed his example, or I have always tried to.
Today, I would like to share with you the sun salutations of Prana Vashya Yoga. This is the yoga I learnt in Mysore last year during my second teacher training there. Prana Vashya is a type of yoga that incorporates breath control to your daily yoga practice, hence its name Prana- the life force we breath in and out effortlessly.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced type of yogic practices with poses that are held for longer periods of time—three to five minutes or even slightly longer. The yin poses perform steady pressure on the connective tissues of the body, such as the tendons, ligaments and fascia. These poses heal for longer, increase circulation to the joints and improve flexibility.
I have prepared a 15 min long Vinyasa Yoga flow video that will not only stretch all the muscles in your body, but it will also keep it toned and ready for more action! It is a simple 15 min flow that will help you to stretch and relax all the main groups of body muscles such as hamstrings, lateral back muscles and also the arm and shoulders muscles.
ou probably hear about yoga quite a good bit these days, but can you be sure about what yoga really is? Do you know what it stands for and what it involves? I have been practicing yoga poses (yoga asanas) for the last 9 years, but the truth is I only learnt what yoga really was last summer, during my second teacher training in India.
The following five simple yoga poses can change the way you ease your body to sleep. They are all variations of the Viparita (Leg-up-the-wall) pose. You will need a wall and a something comfortable to lie on (bed, carpeted or rugged floor) and the following items are optional;- a yoga mat , pillow and something relaxing/enjoyable to read. The idea of reading is to enjoy something that brings you pure pleasure and stops your mind from wandering, worrying, or simply over-thinking.
